Back in the day, Interactive Press Kits were all the rage. I designed and developed multiple kits (with MacroMedia Director!) that accompanied PC based games that contained behind the scenes content for fans. They also served media and press outlets with screen shots, game info and other marketing materials.

Some of the most rewarded projects I've ever worked on have been collaborating with educators on childrens books and history based apps. We developed a working prototype for a children's story book that featured TV's Captain Kangaroo's voice and original story. I developed the final online book in Flash.

I also built a prototype for a history based children's app that I was pitching to EA games. It never got picked up, but the time working on it was extremely rewarding.

The legend of Chickenboy

Chickenboy grew out of my time at Origin Systems. One day while looking through a clip art book I came across the strangest looking image. A half boy, half chicken thing.

It was the strangest thing to come across in a clip art book, why was it even there? I decided it would be the perfect fun image to start up a new multi-media division at Origin, and eventually used for my first start up company.
